An accomplished commercial leader and biotechnology consultant who offers 24 years experience of executive level leadership within the life science sector. Drives results on both a strategic and tactical level and offers proven international management expertise, managing teams across a Global operation.

Was a key contributor in the set up, growth and eventual sale of a life science business, growing the operation from a £300K t/o to its sale for £20m and led the integration process following acquisition. These experiences have provided a unique perspective having commercial leadership skills within both entrepreneurial and public listed companies, resulting in a holistic and accomplished approach to biotechnology consulting.

Has experience of leading all facets of a SME and combines this with a detailed knowledge of the political and regulatory landscape relating to the Biotech industry and the ability to engage with life science leaders on both a commercial and technical level. Is now looking to apply an exemplary executive career to a biotech consultancy or non-executive position.

James BernardBusiness Development Manager

James has brought his wealth of executive level experience within the Life Science industry to PSL. He has established and managed a number of successful manufacturing and supply companies within this sector, leading the businesses on both a strategic and tactical level. This coupled with his international exposure empower him with a detailed understanding of the political, regulatory and competitor landscapes. He uses this knowledge to design and deliver effective commercial strategies and biotechnology consultancy services.

Melonda Higgins

Marketing Manager

After studying Graphic Design at Camberwell Art College, Melinda spent five years working for Ikea in the Visual Merchandising Department. Since leaving Ikea she has worked as a freelance graphic designer for a variety of business enterprises, focusing in recent years on the Biotech sector. Her creative conceptual skills ensure that she is constantly seeking innovative solutions to our clients biotech consultancy needs.

Juliette Hillier

Accountant

Juliette is trained as a chartered accountant. Her involvement across a variety of accounts roles coupled with her hands on experience in the healthcare sector make her a valuable member of the PSL team.

When Juliette isn't crunching numbers she's riding horses!

Sue Fairchild

Researcher

An experienced Immunologist with more than 20 years experience in both pure and commercial research. She has a wealth of experience in commercial and academic research.

Prior to gaining her PhD while working for the MRC, she worked for Beechams Pharmaceuticals, Glaxo Pharmaceuticals and Eli Lilly in R&D.

Sue then went on to take an assistant Professor position in Japan, teaching immunology to Japanese medical students. There she continued her research into T cell involvement in rheumatoid arthritis; supervising projects with a leading pharmaceutical company and pursuing collaborative research with scientists in Asia, America, and Europe.

Sue’s extensive international scientific research experience and keen sense of what motivates researchers when making purchasing decisions makes her an ideal addition to our strategic market research team.
